How Yuba is made in Kyoto, Japan

YUBA SEAWEED DUMPLINGS x 8

Traditional preparation and serving method:

  1. Steam the dumplings until the outside of the dumpling becomes clear to reveal the seaweed inside.
  2. Remove the steamed dumplings (try not to let them cool) and dip in a dish containing a mix of vinegar and ra-yu (red-pepper oil). Another alternative is to dip the dumpling in a dish containing a mix of mustard and soy-sauce.

Hint:

Alternatively, you can deepfry the dumplings but make sure to remove all the excess oil with kitchen paper.
